Anastasia Kast

History

Early History

Anastasia was born on the 18th of February, 2364 in Vancouver on the North American continent of Earth. Her mother is a Starfleet officer, and her father is a member of Federation Security. She did spend significant time planet’s side as opposed to on a ship. She enjoyed the calmness of being on a planet but always heard the calling to venture into the unknown. Upon reaching the age of fifteen years old she would begin to spend significant time on Earth Spacedock with her parents.

Starfleet Career

Starfleet Academy | (2380 – 2384)

Anastasia was accepted into Starfleet Academy on her second attempt into the academy. Anastasia began the academy at the age of 18 in the year 2380. While at the academy she would focus on general medical practices as well as the psychological fields.

Starfleet Medical Academy | (2384 – 2393)

Upon graduating from Starfleet Academy in 2384 he started attending Starfleet Medical Academy. In her first year, he would study bedside manner, medical ethics, clinical fundamentals, and general physiology. In her second year, he would focus on surgical operations on major humanoid species, during her third year he would study psychiatry and mental health. During her fourth and final year, she would study medical specialties and critical care. Upon graduating she would receive an M.D. as well as a Ph.D and would begin her residency at Starbase 141 with the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade.

Starbase 141  | (2388 – 2393)

In 2388, Anastasia was assigned to Starbase 141 to complete her residency aboard the station. While stationed aboard the station she would meet the then Deputy Director of Medical Support, later Director of Medical Support Cada Blix. She and Cada would grow a close bond, during the duration of Anastasia’s residency.

Following her residency, Kast had a choice of several assignments, but she elected to join the crew of the California-class starship Point Arena, knowing that he needed to establish his credentials as a starship medical officer sooner rather than later, after spending the first four years of his career shorebound. Beyond the career necessity, he was also just tired of being planetside and wanted a new challenge.

USS Hawk | (2393 – 2401)

In 2393, following her residency, Kast had a choice of several assignments, but she elected to join the crew of the Excelsior-class starship Hawk. She knew that if she wanted to get her own medical ship then she would need to establish herself as a starship medical officer sooner rather than later, after spending the first four years of his career shorebound. Beyond the career necessity, he was also just tired of being planetside and wanted a new challenge.

She would serve as a physician aboard the ship for about a year before being promoted to Deputy Director of General Medicine. She would sometimes meet with the executive officer of the Hawk, Lieutenant Commander Nitus. The two would eventually become an inseparable pair collaborating on tons of projects together.

In 2396, Kast would be promoted to Director of General Medicine and would receive a promotion to the rank of Lieutenant. For the next five years she would serve aboard the ship. In 2401 when Nitus was offered her first command she would ask Kast to join her crew as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer. She would accept although at the beginning she would be a little upset that Nitus didn’t think she was ready for the title of Chief Medical Officer but upon finding out Cada would hold that title she was a little more insightful.

USS Kison | (2401)

In 2401, Nitus asked Kast to join her crew as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer. They would serve aboard the ship for nearly four months. She would be aboard when the Dominion fleet that was trapped in the Bajoran Wormhole re-emerged. Kast and the rest of the Kison, like the rest of Bravo Fleet, would become involved in the ensuing battles. Following the resurgence of the Dominion fleet she would serve on board for the next month. Kast, like the rest of the crew, would have no knowledge of the events that occurred on Frontier Day due to them being stuck within the Typhon Frontier near Deep Space 17. A few days after the tragic Frontier Day she would be alerted by both Nitus and Cada that they were being reassigned to a new ship.

USS Paramount | (2401 – Present)

A few days after the tragic Frontier Day she would be alerted by both Nitus and Cada that they were being reassigned to the newly recommissioned USS Paramount, a California-class utility cruiser. She would arrive in the Avalon System to help Cada approve the new medical staff.
