Emimi Qetax

Pre-Dunbar / The Qetax Symbiot (2019 / 2364)

The Qetax symbiot has forged many partnerships over the years, building an irreplaceable life lived with several hosts that stretches back to Trill’s pre-warp days. Always eager to try new things and live new experiences if worked on the project that eventually lead to the society’s first warp drive and in another life later would play a minor role in the first contact with non-Trill / non-symbiot life. As with all but a few symbiots the Qetax symbiot was careful to always follow the rules with joining, moving on and not dipping back into past lives. Thus in its latest incarnation when it was Tragis Qetax a respected psychology professor that taught on Andor it had no contact with its past. Upon dying of a heart attack Tragis was rushed back to the Trill home world for a suitable candidate which just so happened to be a young woman about to join Starfleet Academy.

Pre-Joining: Emimi (2345 – 2364)

Emimi Consta was an average Trill woman. Smart and intellectual, she had a goofy side and often got into trouble for pranks that went wrong, and general mischief. Though it was nothing malicious, her parents and teachers hoped that she would apply herself and find a direction in life. Around the age of 14 she met a teacher who had been joined and became enamored with the concept after seeing it as more than just something that was dull and stuffy. She enrolled in the joining program, with little to no hope that she would actually ever receive a symbiot.

Together (2364 – 2373)

The work that she put in to join the program paid off however a few years later when she joined Starfleet Academy and was accepted in her first application. Joining as a medical candidate she was set to take first year medical courses, however at that time she was selected as the new host of the Qetax symbiot who was interested in experiencing life in Starfleet. With the symbiot’s knowledge of psychology Emimi instead joined Starfleet as a future Councillor earring her degree focusing on mental sciences.

Her first assignment was to the USS Paris, a Reliant class starship. She later served on the USS Churchill and then did a brief but unremarkable stint on Deep Space Nine, where she first joined the war effort against the Dominion. Though she did not make a name for herself there she impressed enough people that she was made the Chief Counsellor of the USS Denver after less than a year as an Assistant Chief on DS9.

Emimi Qetax currently is serving as a full Lieutenant and Chief Counsellor on the USS Denver.
