Summary
James is a Lieutenant currently assigned to the Operations Division aboard Starbase Bravo as a Generalist Operations Officer. He is currently undergoing additional training to move to the command track upon promotion to Lieutenant Commander.
Appearance
James is a tall, well-built man who stands at 6 feet 3 inches (1.91 m) and weighs around 220 pounds. He has a rugged, athletic build and is known for his fit physique. He has a strong jawline and defined cheekbones, which gives him a striking and handsome appearance. His hair color is brown. He usually has short and well-groomed hair with side-swept bangs. He has blue eyes that are deep-set and expressive. He has a straight nose and full lips. He has a very charming and warm smile. He is usually seen wearing a clean-shaven look. Overall, he has a classic and timeless look that is both rugged and refined.
Personality
James is a highly analytical and logical thinker, able to process large amounts of information quickly and make sound decisions under pressure. James is described as having a solid moral compass and a deep sense of duty and is known for his loyalty and commitment to his friends and loved ones. He still carries deep-seated trauma from his past, which manifests as significant depression and PTS. James addresses those traumas, learns from them, and strives to improve. However, his depression can rear its ugly head through morose humor, dark sarcasm, and anger.
History
He was born in 2375 to two Star Fleet officers assigned to Starbase 157. James was raised on Starbase 157 until he was orphaned at three during the Borg Invasion of 2381. He returned to live with his maternal grandparents on Mars at Utopia Planitia, where he would live until rogue Synths destroyed the fleet yards in 2385. Again orphaned, James would be sent to live with his paternal Uncle. His Uncle, another Star Fleet officer, was assigned to Deep Space 9. James would live with his Uncle on Deep Space 9 until 2392 when he enlisted with Star Fleet. In 2396 James attended Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as an Ensign upon graduation in 2397. After graduating, James would be assigned to the USS Pacific Palisades as the 3rd Shift Operations Officer. Halfway through his deployment on the Palisades, James would be promoted to Acting Chief Operations Officer after an accident with the warp core killed the Chief and Assistant Chief Operations Officer. Completing the cruise, James would be promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and reassigned with his CO’s blessing to the USS Neptune as Assistant Chief Operations Officer. After completing a long-range mission on the Neptune, James was promoted this time to Lieutenant and reassigned to the 4th Fleet’s headquarters at Star Base Bravo.
