Luke Daniels

Early Life (2377-2395)

Born in New Zealand on Earth. His parents working for the Starfleet Corps of Engineering and a guard at the Penal Colony. He had a fairly standard upbringing living on the birthplace of the federation. Living in such a culturally diverse location, Luke managed to pick up bits and pieces of the various languages being spoken. As a youngster he enjoyed exploring the natural environment around him living out the dreams of a child.

During his teenage years, Luke developed an interest in programming and joined several programming and robotics clubs. Through these clubs Luke made some good friends and connections.

His parents nurtured this passion and encouraged him to develop his skills through small projects he wanted to develop. As an only child, his parents wanted to include him in all conversations regarding the family and the goings on in their jobs, within the bounds of any confidentiality agreements and NDA’s of course.

Throughout his formal education he consistently ranked in the top 10 every year. It was as he was graduating his thoughts began to turn to the stars and the adventures awaiting him.

With the full support of his parents, Luke sat the Starfleet Academy entrance exam and was accepted into the 2395 intake. Based on his academic transcript and exam results, Luke was transferred to the Starfleet Academy campus based on Mellstoxx III

Starfleet Academy (2395-2400)

Luke received the well rounded education Starfleet Academy is known for while progressing along his chosen career path. He fully expected the pressure would be a bit more intense due to the nature of program on Mellstoxx III.

He experienced the usual ups and downs most cadets experience when put in a higher pressure environment but was able to overcome these stumbling blocks with the support and encouragement of his fellow cadets and some words of comfort from home.

Upon graduation, Lukas decided instead of applying for a shipboard position, he was going to enrol in the Academy back on Earth for a one year intensive course in linguistics to fill in some gaps in his knowledge of both human languages and common alien species.

Upon completion of this program at the end of 2399, Luke applied and was accepted to Starbase Bravo.

Starbase Bravo (2400 – Present)

Transferring to Starbase Bravo in the later months of 2400, Luke was assigned to the Operations Department. Hitting the ground running he met a few of his fellow crew and discovered some of his new favourite places to be. His duties generally have him based in the Cargo Bays arranging dispatch and requisition of supplies.
