Summary
A girl that is by nature very introverted. While at work, Katsu is quiet and focused. She tends to forget work while working on various assignments and has a perfectionist attitude. Katsu is, while introverted, kind, and respectful in any way she can be. Her ambition is to reach out to the stars and investigate new worlds.
Appearance
Katsu is known for her characteristic features like brown eyes, short dark brown hair, and smooth tanned skin without any scars. Katsu is 1.61 meters in height and weighs 52 kg. She doesn’t stand out among the crowd. But Katsu is rather quick on her feet and can handle a punch.
Personality
Katsu is introverted, intuitive, thinking, and prospecting, but comes over as being pensive, detached, and a bit reserved. Katsu tends to stay to herself and has difficulty finding the energy to socialize with other people. Thought Katsu loves her work and is always up for a challenge to analyze patterns within her work field.
History
Early Life
Oka Katsu was born and raised on Earth in the country of Japan in a small region called Shikoku. She had a calm youth and was supported in her study interest of science to explore the fields of astronomy, mineralogy, and planetology which will be her favorite classes later on in the academy. Her parents were kind and supportive of their daughter’s ambitions and were there for her when she applied for Starfleet Academy.
Starfleet Academy
On campus, she got frustrated with the constant interactions with so many people, and her teachers did their best to give her more support in it. Because of this, she did an additional sociology class to help her understand the aspects of socializing that are important in her future career. While it helped, Katsu’s introverted character never really left her. She was eventually the star student in the field of planetology and graduated with an in-depth planetary survey report.
Early Career – USS Altai
Because her field of interest spanned into the unknown, she got assigned to the USS Altai as their new Science Officer. She wanted to explore the possibilities and grow in rank to prove that her work would be a legit and exemplary contribution to the Federation. At an away mission on an abandon Breen dreadnought, Katsu was able to hold off the mechanical-looking spiders for a reasonable amount of time until she got injured severe and was transported back to receive medical care.
For her actions at the Breen dreadnought, she was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade and offered the position of Chief Science Officer that she accepted.
