Career Starfleet officer, not overly ambitious but enjoys ‘doing his duty’ – tends to fade into the background – has a family back on Betazed, hopes to put in just enough time so that he can retire comfortably back home – was present at the Attack on Mars, was injured and spent several year on a long term leave of absence – still bears the physical and emotional scars but at this point it interferes little in his job.
