Rian Vale

Ensign Rian Vale, a Trill, is newly graduated from the Academy and has recently arrived on board the USS Spector. She has taken up the duties as a fighter pilot with The Revenants. She flies with instinct and fluid precision, adapting faster than most can react. To the squadron, she is the calm within the chaos.

Ensign Rian Vale carried herself with an easy confidence that feels natural rather than something she is trying to portray. She doesn’t force authority or attention, she simply has it, unusual for someone so junior. In conversation she is relaxed, observant and quietly charismatic and able to naturally put people at ease.

At her core, Rian is instinct-driven. Where others rely on planning or procedure, she trusts her intuition and often makes decisions in the moment that are uncannily accurate. In high pressure situations, this makes her one of the calmest presences in the squadron.

Benath this ease, however, is a quiet depth. As an unjoined trill raised on Trillus Prime, she grew up surrounded by the legacy of the joined. Stories of lifetimes, wisdom and purpose and she does not carry. She does not resent this but it has shaped her personality. She strives to prove that they doesn’t need centuries worth of experience to excel. And has a strong desire to prove that who she is right now is enough.

Socially, Rian is one of the more approachable members of the squadron. She connect easily, reads people well and often acts as a stabilising influence within group dynamics. She is empathetic without being overly serious and able to balance lightness with a genuine understanding.

In the cockpit, Rian is fluid, adaptive and almost intuitive in her movements. She doesn’t fly the vessel, she feels it. To her fellow pilots, she is the calm in the storm. He one who doesn’t get overwhelmed and doesn’t overthink.

Hobbies and Interests

Rian enjoys activities that requires quick thinking and adaptability, often gravitating toward fast-paces games or competitive simulations.

Culturally, she maintains a connection to her Trill heritage through social traditions. She has a love for music and dance and enjoys communal gatherings. Unlike joined Trill her heritage is now, she values living fully in her own experiences rather than dwelling to much on what happened before.
