To Voss, maintenance logs are not just paperwork, they’re what keeps The Revenants and their Valkyries flying. Pre-flight checks aren’t just routine, they’re a promise that the ship is good to go. Because of this, he can come across as being harsh to those under his command. Particularly to new crewmembers who haven’t yet learned the rhythm of the deck.

Voss doesn’t just oversee machines, he safeguard the trust between the deck and the pilots who launch from it. When a pilot straps in, Voss already knows whether that vessel will perform as expected.
