Summary
Aevryn Sareth is a Starfleet Intelligence Officer assigned to the USS Blackbird as the Intelligence liaison. Formerly an official of the Romulan Star Empire and Free State, she defected in the 2390s to the Federation. After extensive vetting, she was recruited to Starfleet Intelligence. Rumours abound that she was Tal Shiar before leaving Romulan territory, but records of her life before defecting are heavily classified. What is clear is that, while she is evidently trusted as an analyst, given high-level support roles for major operations, she is rarely given much operational authority. She conveys and analyses intelligence, and ensures that the Rooks are equipped and ready for whatever they come – but doesn’t give the orders.
