Early Life (2358-2376)

Dr. Eliza Thorne and Gavin Thorne,

Beatrice Thorne was born to Dr. Eliza Thorne and Gavin Thorne in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Writing interested her from a young age.  In the freshman year of high school, she took her first journalism class and was quickly hooked.  She rose from reporter to news editor her sophomore year to editor-in-chief her junior and senior year.  Thorne was relentless and brutal as head of the newspaper.  It was here she earned “The Thorn” as her nickname.  Graduating with top honors, she gained acceptance to the University of Missouri.

Education (2376-2380)

She excels in her classes, but made a few friends.  Her attitude was that of a dogged reporter racing down the stories, the rumors, and the big scoops that might give her an edge over others.  She learns from the masters of the craft and explores various programs.  After graduating, she joined the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as a string reporter.

St. Louis Post-Dispatch (2380-2382)

Thorne worked her way up to the main news team, and the editor-in-chief promoted her to deputy news editor in 2382.  She returns to the University of Missouri for her masters in the fall of 2382.

The University of Missouri (2382-2384)

The Kansas City Star (2384-2394)

Thorn goes to work for the other major news organization in the area and quickly established herself as a cutthroat reporter and a demanding editor, achieving Deputy Editor-in-Chief at the start of 2390. After ten years, she received an offer to work in London.

The Telegraph (2394-2403)

Worked as news editor, opinion page editor, and broadcast deputy director.  Her reputation as combative and forceful remains and was balanced by her continued results in breaking stories and excellent writing.

The Rimward Report (02.23/2403 – Present)

Received an offer from FNN for Editor-in-Chief.
