Sara Winters

One of the newer members of the crew, Sara Winters, currently serves as a Junior Security and Tactical officer on board. She’s the one you want at your side in a pinch; solid and dependable, she will often put others safety above that of her own.

Sara Winters has a remarkable ability to make even the most extraordinary situations seems normal. Energetic, confident and endlessly determined, she approaches life with an infectious enthusiasm that draws people toward her. She dislikes standing on the side-lines and has a habit of throwing herself directly into challenges, often before fully considering the consequences. To Sara, action almost feels preferable to waiting.

Despite her outgoing nature, Sara carries more responsibility than many realise. She often feels a strong obligation to be the person others can rely on. This sometimes creates a tendency to shoulder burdens alone, hiding her worries behind humour, sarcasm or an easy smile.

One of Sara’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. She is warm, approachable and fiercely loyal to her friends. This loyalty can sometimes make her stubborn, particularly when she believes someone she cares about is in danger or being treated unfairly.

Hobbies and Interests

Sara loves activities that push her limits, whether that’s Parrises Squares, combat training, rock climbing or the latest extreme holodeck programme she can convince her crewmates to try. Competitive by nature, she enjoys winning but more than that, she enjoys the thrill of the challenge and the camaraderie that comes from tackling it alongside others.

She does have a habit of adopting new hobbies on a whim, throwing herself into them with enthusiasm before moving onto the next adventure that grabs her attention. For Sara, the best experiences are always shared ones and she values the friendships and memories she creates far more than any trophy or achievement.

Keepsakes

In a sand-scuffed shoebox under her bunk, Sara Winters keeps her ‘trophy case’ hidden away. She learnt long ago that joy doesn’t need a witness. Inside, a sun-bleached shell stung on a cord from her mother, as smooth as a thumbprint for luck. A snapped restraint, from her first training exercise, when she hesitated, but learnt that hesitation gets people hurt. A bronze marksmanship pin that she almost threw away after placing third until her instructor told her that security is consistency, not glory. A folded holo of her graduating class, creased at the corners where she opened it often. A tiny vial is Risan beach sand, golden as a sunrise, sealed tight against the recycled starship air. She hides the box because every piece says the same thing: she is leaving paradise on purpose, and she intends to earn the uniform.
