Unafraid to break boundaries and wholly disdainful of stereotypes, the Ferengi Gaca rejected her ascribed role in Ferengi society and broke with tradition to join Starfleet under sponsorship – scandalizing her family and society.

She doesn’t lose a minutes sleep over her decision – where would the profit in that?

Gaca serves aboard the USS Kirk as the ships Operations Officer and her natural affinity for all things mercantile make her a supremely efficient organizer and logistician. With an ever – ready eye for a bargain with a black – belt in haggling, this resourceful Ferengi always seems to be able to procure just the right part or item in the field and is of great assistance in evaluating the authenticity and worth of contraband cargo’s intercepted by the vessel.

Gaca is a strong personality and is not afraid to break a societal norm or expectation.

Like all Ferengi, her ethos is centered around the Rules of Acquisition, but she holds her oath to Starfleet and the tenets of her adopted Federation society very closely – as they both enabled her to break the gendered restrictions of her own people and forge a new future.

Quick minded to the point of sly, Gaca is gregarious and garrulous and the life of the party.

Just don’t gamble with her…..
