Summary
A battle-tested Dominion War veteran and hardened master of warp field dynamics, Lieutenant Commander Silas Rourke, Starfleet, is the Unification’s Chief Engineer. Gruff, brilliant, and famously impatient with incompetence, Rourke is the kind of engineer who can coax performance out of aging systems under fire — and make his crew feel the pressure of failure long before the bulkheads do.
Appearance
Rourke is a broad-shouldered man in his late fifties with calloused hands, permanent engine grease under his fingernails, and piercing blue eyes that seem to size up everyone and everything. His silver-streaked hair is short and unkempt, often tucked under a utility cap. He moves with the functional economy of a man who doesn’t waste energy on showmanship — just results.
Personality
A no-nonsense engineer with a sarcastic streak and a deep-seated loathing for bureaucracy. He’s brilliant under pressure and terrible at diplomacy. He trusts only what he can measure, reinforce, or weld together, and treats his warp core like a living creature under his protection. While his bedside manner is nonexistent, he’s fiercely loyal to the ship and the crew, and god help the person who compromises either.
