Zorion

Lieutenant Commander Zorion is one of the few Medusans in Starfleet, serving as the chief science officer and navigator aboard the starship Apollo. Zorion inhabits a reinforced neutronium sphere just aft of the forward navigational deflector. From here, they have real-time access to the ship’s long-range sensors. To interact with the rest of the crew, they are capable of controlling a holographic avatar aboard the Apollo, or a DOT drone for away missions. Intensely fearful of accidentally exposing themself to corporeal beings, Zorion insists on remaining in their “quarters” rather than using a containment suit, though one is kept in reserve for emergencies.
