Summary
Yupaz is a man that doesn’t turn down a challenge and is a person that doesn’t like to be pushed too far. He will always come over as a confident person and will place the crew first at any given situation. He is a person that tends to his own care, rather then let someone care for him.
Appearance
He is a normal-looking hybrid Klingon/Human with no ridges on his nose, as the only visible ridges are on his forehead.
Personality
Yupaz personality type would be a summary of being extraverted, intuitive and having judging traits. He tends to uphold the strong values of Starfleet, and he backs it up by achieving his goals. Yupaz is someone who would be described as having strong opinions and recognizes the importance of others expressing themselves. His co-workers see Yupaz as a reliable force and charismatic in his Klingon genes. But this charisma also backfires on him, as he might come over as overly idealistic and sometimes too intense.
History
Yupaz is a mix of a Klingon and a Human born on the frontier of Federation space near the Klingon borders. However, his father died in combat during an inner struggle of the houses within the Klingon Empire. This forced his mother to return Alpha Centauri when Yupaz was seven years old. He learned the Federation way of life, was eventually accepted into the ranks of Starfleet Academy, and moved through the ranks to finally reach the rank of Lieutenant and assigned to the USS Pioneer. He does bear the scars of the conflict between the USS Thunderchild and the Devoré Empire during Operation Blood Dilithium.
