Awards
Return to the Chief of Staff’s Office
Awards are given to recognize outstanding service to Bravo Fleet through project work, winning competitive activities, or long term consistent service. Some awards are medals while others are awarded as ribbons. Awards are broken down into four categories: Merit, Competition, Activity, and Other. Awards are given based on knowledge, leadership, skill, participation, gaming, mentorship, among other accomplishments.
Some awards are only granted during special occasions: challenge coins and Starfleet stars during fleet actions, and the Starfleet Medal of Commendation annually on August 19th. Ultimately, there are a variety of awards for all types of activities at all levels of the Fleet.
Merit Awards
Merit awards are awards that recognize a member’s overall activity and contribution to the fleet. These awards are all encompassing and are meant to recognize ongoing activity or effort on the part of a member as opposed to a specific activity item or milestone. These awards will often serve as major awards for members in between their advancement to their next rank. These awards are divided into two types: Tier 1 Recognition awards that are awarded for more standard activity and Tier 2 Distinction awards that are given for levels of activity and work for the fleet that go above and beyond.
Recognition Awards (Tier 1)
Recognition Awards reflect ongoing activity or notable contributions from members. They are nominated by various members of the Task Force Senior Staff.
