Most of the crew was on Avalon Fleet Yards to enjoy Frontier Day. A few members stayed behind to wrap up the initial preparations for the handover to SCE. The Command Team had given T'Path the lead in these tasks as they were busy at Avalon Fleet Yards. The USS Mariner had already seen some travels and adventures in the short span of its career. Flying in unknown space, facing the Dominion without a shot fired, and eventually facing the Lost Fleet with full might. But now, the ship needed a good repair and resupply to prepare for their next adventure that would bring them to Delta Quadrant.

“Information on operational status is ready and sent to the SCE lead” Drata just pressed the button sending the said information. He wanted to get this work done and leave to enjoy some relaxation, but these duties always sneaked in at the very last moment.

“I got my information also sorted” Dacio stated, one of the science crew that had filled in for the assistant who was still busy settling in on the Mariner. He took a deep breath. “They will have their hands full of the things we need to get repaired. This ship is not built for battle…” he mutters.

T'Path didn't turn her head to Dacio but spoke up “Neither is the given situation that we were dragged into. Sometimes we do not have the luxury to choose our actions, but it is given to us, and we have to react to it” Her voice sounded very monotone, a tone recognizable as a trait from any Vulcan. "Good work, everyone, I think we can sign it off, and you all can get to the numerous events out there.

Leaning back in her chair “Therrre is enough to do. What will you do, Lieutenant?” K'Nala looked over her shoulder to T'Path.

“I am returning to my room and catching up on research rapports. Perhaps if time allows, I will meditate and send a letter to my family” T'Path was still busy typing away on her PADD to finish things up.

“Sounds like a blast…” Drata smirked a bit. “I can't wait to be at that promenade and taste those local beverages. They are calling out for me to try! I mean, nothing beats a good drink while staring at all the glorious ships in window view” Drata was already fanboying over the fact that he could see the full glory of the Fourth Fleet just out of the window.

Shaking his head, “I do not understand you sometimes, Lieutenant. Ships are just transported for a means-end” Dacio pointed out while swiping up a report that was sent. “We are meant among the stars, explore the unknown and try to grasp the fundamental understanding of it….ships are just ships”

If looks could kill, Drata would do a mass murder right now with the stare he gave Dacio. He wanted to react, but T'Path stopped him as she tapped his shoulder when passing by. “Enjoy the evening, ladies and gentlemen” She stated, walking to the turbo lift as it opened up. T'Path smiled softly. “Ahh, the reports are sent to y….” For an odd reason, she didn't finish her sentence, making the bridge crew look in her direction only to see in horror that T'Path dropped to the floor, lifeless.

An Ensign had the phaser pointed up, and the gaze on his facial expression was in some trance when the famous and yet horrifying words came “We are the Borg, resistance is futile…” Without a second to think, the crew switched to a combat that would change the outcome of everyone in Starfleet.
