Just checking our storyboard, and with what we want to do, I figured i'd skip past about 3 stories we probably won't t have time for with this midlogue.

Formica

Though the disinformation and anti-Federation propaganda campaign had been moderately successful, the Formicans were still open to working with them going forward. As hyper-capitalists who were interested in offworld colonization, it was obvious that the Federation was a large well travelled coalition of peoples, as they had seen examples of several species so far. Through their telepathy they had come to the conclusion that though they didn’t like the attitude and some of ideologies expressed by the representatives of Starfleet, it would be foolish to brush them off or openly oppose them in any way. Competition was always good for a market.

A vote was held in the Grand Council about condemning both the Ferengi attack on the Blythe, and the newcomers reprisals attack, but to not take a side and sent out the communique on an open channel. This had the effect of angering the Ferengi, who were starting to become cornered, both positionally and diplomatically. The Ferengi then doubled the price of the dilithium they sold to the Formicans for their power system and warp cores.

Another very consequential vote was held the next day. It was the day they would elect who the leader of their first colonization mission would be. Their was 6 nomination. 2 insignificant protest candidates who were running to exemplifying how much their colonies were suffering from the overcrowding and dwindling resources on their homeworld, and 1 was a quasi-religious zealot who was a descendant one of the original 23 leaders of the original colony of Formican, in the ancient days when they had first attained sentence roughly 300000 years prior. He was not an A-1, since he family had been a part of several disbanded or enslavement colonies over the eons.

The vote tally on the jumbotron above the Grand Council in the large stadium style house of government read;

A-1 of 874-498

A-1 of 17-480

A-1 of 503-58

A-1 of 860-17

B-217 of 109-16

A-1 of 1069-2

The leader of the colony who would go on to build the most ships in their Colonial Fleet won the election, but it was very close.

Derganix

The revolution was quick, and mostly bloodless in the end. Only 2 Ferengi had been killed as they had chosen to fight when the mobs had come for them. The 70+ Ferengi hostages were released a day after the Ferengi had withdrawn from the orbital station. The Blythe’s crew had begun to make friends with many Dergans, as curious folks began to visit the park and its surrounding to meet the newcomers. It was a much different form of diplomacy and cultural exchange, then the one they had received from the Ferengi.

As the Soval arrived, the small 20 person engineering support team began to assist the Formicans in upgrades and repairs to the decrepit station. This provided 12 Dergan Porkonauts(astronauts) and Engineers with the honour of taking the first ever transporter trips in the history of their species. The Ferengi used the device to beam up and down on the planet, but they had never given the Dergans any access to it.

On the 3rd day, as they got word that a skeleton crew would ferry a new vessel that 80 of the crew of the Blythe were being reassigned to. The bulk of the remaining 190 Blythe crew would be ferried back to Federation territory aboard the Soval, a few would be reassigned to the Culver City, and 1 would be assigned to continue working with the engineering crew on the orbital station.

An impromptu farewell BBQ and bonfire broke out at the temporary camp, as the Starfleet crew would be beamed aboard the Soval the next morning. Several hundred Dergans and Starfleet, dignitaries and regular citizens and crew among them, treated each other to various different cuisines from their respective cultures. A member of the Blythe crew nearly slid into a drug induced coma when he ingested some of the Dergan Cabbage that had been offered to him by some random junky who had just so happened to join in the BBQ. Luckily medical staff was able to deliver a hypo filled with the detonation drug cocktail that Doc Lady had come up with.

Blythe

After the survey of the damage was complete it was decided that the ship wasn’t a total write off, she just needed her warp core reinitialized, a fresh matter antimatter mix, and repairs to the damaged warp nacelle struts. The Culver City was assigned the job of tractoring the ship, first into orbit, and then towing it back to a Federation Repair Depot at the conclusion of their mission.

Slivin

Kerak was quickly realizing he may have made the wrong choice for his XO. He had given Mereg the job because he proven himself very competent at his job. But as a leader and commander, he was essentially an empty vessel. His neice might have some attitude problems and be a bit inexperienced at some things, but atleast she would give an order and keep the crew active and well trained.

The tricky he needed to figure out now, was how to actually switch them and not look like a dithering fool infront of the rest of his crew. Plej, his trusty Steward provided the answer, when he mentioned how Kerak, as the Captain could just have Mereg serve his watch during his own, and assign Bamet to serve on the night shift, effectively making her the senior officer on that shift.
