Ael looked at her husband and blinked, she was being called into duty, and being put into danger. At her husbands request.

“I don’t understand why you have to go after them.” Ael confided.

“I don’t either, but I don’t decide that. I trust you and only you to keep us alive.” He kissed her forehead.

“But Chris…” the door wrang for attention.

He placed his finger on her lips, the doors opened and it was Meila. “What the hell is going on? I was told to take command of the Sac? I am getting really tired of being thrown around.”

“You go where the badge takes you Commander.” Chris said in a monotone voice.

“I don’t mean to bother you on your private moment, but there was something important that I wanted to share with you.” Meila said placing a padd down on the table… her table?

“What is it?” Chris asked.

“Ael, you will want to take a look at this too.” Meila offered another padd of information. “I did some genome sequencing on our friend from Bravo, and well, seems it is unstable. It seems they need regular shots of some sort of concoction to maintain the transformation. Furthermore it also renders them well… ”

“Interesting…. it renders them infertile. Both Females and Males cannot reproduce.” Ael butted in.

“Exactly, further, you said that it was a female voice that your mark heard… That is interesting.” Meila began pacing.

“Why is that Meila?” Chris inquired.

“Because, they are a Patriarchal Society, Females are held in low regard, and so is science… yet the Kzinti being held on Starbase Bravo, is Male.” her hands started to twitch.

“You seem to know some information about the current situation Commander.” Ael smiled.

“I have my sources.” Meila smiled.

Chris grabbed his tin metal cup and sat down, offering Meila a seat and Ael. “So what you are saying is…”

“Someone is going to have to interrogate the Kzinti on Starbase Bravo before it is too late.” Meila said.

“Before it is too late?” Chris asked.

“Sometimes, they don’t look kindly on being captured, and may result in suicide, should he regain his faculties.” Ael said.

“Exactly.” Meila agreed.

“Very well, I shall see what we can do. In the meantime, Go get your ship ready, Commander.” Chris smiled at his old friend. “This will all be packed up and your stuff will be moved in soon.”

“Be careful, I want to keep this Temporary.” Meila said.
