He stared out the window, in a pensive state, staring at the enormity of the spacedock of Starbase Bravo, “A saboteur?” he replied to his first and second officers. 

“That is what Counselor Rea and Lieutenant Walton said Sir. The Environmental controls were hit and than the communication sub relays, it appears the Saboteur is going after main systems through secondary or tertiary command stations.” H’Lai reported stoic as ever. 

Moments later the ship went to Red Alert, “We will come back to this.”

|Main Bridge

The commander and his entourage walked out of the ready room, “Counselor, report!” he demanded. 

“There was phaser fire on the medical deck, the ship automatically went to Red Alert, I didn’t want to disturb you.” the Counselor said in her calm demeanor. 

“It is fine, the ship automatically does that Kas,” Idris said from the Tactical and Security console, “Sealing off Medical Deck and locking down all access points, I am picking up Ferengi and two humans.”

With growl, Andrew already knew it was Talat, pointing at H’Lai who guaranteed to wrangle in the Ferengi “You are with me. Idris, resume normal business keep that deck clear. Lock down the umbilical’s to SBB.”

|Turbolift 001

Andrew grabbing two phasers out of a wall panel and handing it to H’Lai, looked at his first officer. “Med Deck. I can’t have a phaser fight with my senior officers, she practically imploded my Engineering Deck and lord knows what she did to my shower….”

“That is true, however, this is new to Talat as well. She is a very talented officer and I feel she is often overlooked because of her hyperactivity. Mischief is constantly following her around. It was under my understanding Meila Tris was the same way when she was under you command?” H’Lai questioned.

“Yes H’Lai but she never induced a phaser fight on my medical deck.” he said.

“There is a reason she was chosen, let us give it some time. I will work with Kas and come up with a plan of action.” H’Lai said in her Vulcan way that calmed everything. 

“Very well.” the CO agreed.

|Med Deck

The doors of the turbolift opened and there was a Ferengi screeching by….

“You are not taking my blood you Vampire!” Talat yelled at the top of her lungs “EEEEEEEEE.”

“Lieutenant Nimora, It is apart of the regular physical, and it is needed to get say you are duty ready.” the CMO, Dr. Heron pleaded. 

“Nimora I will shoot you.” came Walton’s voice ever so sincere with the threat. 

Andrew looked at H’Lai… he wanted to shoot them all. “Enough!” Andrew yelled out. “What is going on here Lt. Nimora?”

Cowering towards the CO, Talat looked forward and showed her teeth to the Doctor, “That that… vampire wanted to take my blood with some sort of rudimentary device.”

“It is called a needle. It is because your skin is too thick for the Hypo Spray.” Dr. Heron explained. 

“Can you find another way, perhaps using the Transporter records, anything? Shooting her and chasing her around the Medical Deck is not appropriate, and you are instilling more trauma.” H’Lai asked.

“I am not sure.” Dr. Heron said.

“I am sure you will come up with something… oh by the way, who the heck fired their phaser?” Andrew crossed his arms looking at the Security Chief.

“She had a laser scapple.” Walton said in her defense. 

“And you missed!” Talat taunted.

“I won’t miss next time.” Walton hit back.

“That’s enough, you are senior officers. Act like it.” H’Lai said sternly. 

Everyone took a step back and looked at H’Lai not realizing how angry she can get. One didn’t want to imagine as this was only a slight warning. 

“Right okay, Doctor, find a way to work with Talat on the Medical that she is needed to do.” Andrew paused  to clear his throat, “Walton… I don’t… we will talk later. This behavior is unacceptable. Firing your phaser at other officers. And Talat, you are on a Federation starship, please show some decorum… I need to rest.” the CO said still recovering from his injuries.
