Fresh from the completion of a major overhaul that saw the USS Prometheus upgraded to all the modern standards and technologies, the ship was ordered to Deep Space 17 for reassignment as part of Prometheus Squadron, a unit centered around Prometheus as its flagship and tasked with exploration and tactical initiatives beyond the borders of the Federation, and within the Typhon Expanse itself.

Under the command of a new commanding officer, Prometheus is dispatched far beyond Federation space to solve the murder of one of Starfleet’s finest. In order to complete their objective, three officers transfer aboard, each having served with the murdered officer in different capacities aboard the Starship Ulysses. Unable to rest whilst justice alludes them and their fallen comrade, the officers gladly join the Prometheus mission in pursuit of peace at last.
