After his only son became Displaced – but didn’t return, Fleet Captain Thomas Church is persuaded by his two oldest friends Captain Julian Dempsey and Captain Rellis Keran to vacation with them in the Colludia system when they become concerned for his welfare.

Church reluctantly agrees, hoping that the vacation will at least act as a distraction and will give him some downtime in order to process what has happened – whilst Dempsey and Rellis just want to make sure that their friend is coping with the loss and not just shutting away his emotions…

Add a healthy dose of sun, sea, and sand, a dormant volcano, a trio of sinister Ferengi gangsters and a mysterious Betazoid femme fatale to the mix and this without doubt will become a shore leave that all three captains will never forget!
