Part of Bravo Fleet: Crossroads

IKS Bardur

Ghosts of Elsewhen

A wounded Klingon Battlecruiser hunts a ruthless enemy from a shattered reality, only to discover it has drawn far darker things out of the void.

Mission Description

Still settling into command of the ageing K’t’inga-Class Battlecruiser IKS Bardur, Captain L’rena and her crew are drawn into the growing chaos of crossed realities after a rogue Vor’Cha-Class battlecruiser attacks without warning.

The enemy is no ordinary Klingon Vessel. Commanded by Captain Vra’tok, Son of Khelar, a ruthless warrior from a fractured reality where the Empire has collapsed into civil war, the ship strikes from the wounds between universes and vanishes before honour can be answered.

As the Bardur hunts its attacker, the crew discovers that Vra’tok’s passage through reality has drawn something far worse in its wake: The Loom, hungry things that move through broken space and prey upon anything out of place.

For L’rena, the mission becomes more than revenge. To stop Vra’tok, protect the Bardur, and survive the fractures tearing at the stars, her crew must prove that even an old Klingon warship can still stand against ghosts from elsewhere.

Pt. 7: The Blade Across The Wound

IKS Bardur: Ghosts of Elsewhen

The trap was laid in silence. The IKS Bardur was operating in silence, low power profile, no obvious shifts in the patrol pattern that may warn a captain that he was being studied. The Bardur had become patient; she would not rush into battle to only lose their prey again. For three days they [...]

Pt. 6: The Things Between Stars

IKS Bardur: Ghosts of Elsewhen

The IKS Bardur skimmed the edge of a nebula in the expanse. She’d been patrolling the area in the vicinity of Framheim station since the encounter with the displaced vessel. On the Bridge, L’rena sat forward in her command chair. She’d grown frustrated at the lack of progress in finding the [...]

Pt. 5: The Echo in Iron

IKS Bardur: Ghosts of Elsewhen

The IKS Bardur returned to Framheim station carrying proof. Not in Victory or Defeat, but proof. The kind that sat badly in a warriors mouth because it could not be mounted on a wall of laid at the feet of a captain. Sensor records. Contradictory telemetry. Sensor logs that showed an enemy warship [...]

Pt. 4: The Kill That Was Not

IKS Bardur: Ghosts of Elsewhen

The Bardur went to readiness without any ceremony. No announcement was needed, the crew felt the change before L’rena gave the order. A battlecruiser preparing to hunt had its own rhythm. Boots clanging on the deck plates, the sound of sealed lockers opening and the shouts of engineers preparing [...]
