USS Stardust - RRW Caelum
Operation: Long Pursuit
Task Force 86 assigns USS Stardust and RRW Caelum to a joint, low‑visibility operation to locate and recover a single Displaced individual across multiple realities bringing them safely home through Starbase 80 while evading Loom interference and minimizing disruption to every reality they touch.
Mission Description
Following a period of refit and crew recovery after returning to Starbase 86 on January 30, 2403, the USS Stardust is placed back on operational readiness as the Crossroads crisis escalates across the Fourth Fleet. On April 5, 2403, Task Force Commander Aelin Maori issues Stardust a narrowly scoped mission under Task Force 86: locate and recover a single Displaced individual whose unstable quantum trail indicates imminent Loom attention. The directive emphasizes precision and restraint—traverse the interdimensional portal at Starbase 80, retrieve the Displaced, and avoid unnecessary disruption to any affected reality.
As the operation unfolds, it becomes clear that the Romulan Republic vessel RRW Caelum has been independently tracking the same missing individual. Drawn together by necessity rather than intent, the two ships establish limited cooperation, pooling intelligence and coordinating movements while retaining independent command authority. Their combined efforts reveal a prolonged, deliberate trail across multiple realities, marked by near recoveries, rising Loom pressure, and difficult ethical decisions.
Operation: Long Pursuit culminates in a joint extraction conducted under extreme temporal and tactical strain. Through careful coordination and one decisive engagement to secure the recovery, Stardust and Caelum work together to aid in returning the Displaced to their home reality.
