On board the Sovereign, the activity and life on board this capital vessel was no different from any other vessel in the fleet. Crew were performing their daily tasks, others enjoyed free time on holodecks, and some found work to be the best vacation than actually visiting a vacation planet.

Grak was one of them, who had performed his tenth diagnostic on the warp engines, after another adjustment to the plasma flow. K’Roll, who Grak was mentoring, was there to give him a hand with the work. That is, until Grak vanished right before K’Roll’s eyes.

At the very same time, Captain Henry Maxwell was in the middle of a conversation with Commander Arthur Graves about their next mission, when he had vanished as well. This caused quite an alarm on board the ship, but with Commander Graves calm, commanding demeanor, he had a specialized team analyze both rooms.

Conclusion, both Henry Maxwell and Grak were sent to an alternate universe in the past. How far into the past is uncertain but what they do know is what was confirmed by Command. As much as Commander Graves wants to send the entire ship through to save the Captain and Chief Engineer; he had chosen a smaller, less invasive approach. A shuttle with a small team, in hopes to limit any contamination or manipulation that would anger the Loom.

While Commander Graves worked on getting a team assembled; both Henry and Grak find themselves on a planet that is in complete ruin. Any technology they could find was either destroyed or inoperable. Components and equipment completely fried and useless. As far as they were aware, there is no way they could send out a signal. What they do find…will shock them….
