The Sovereign is back to full tip top shape after her wild adventures into the Gamma Quadrant and into a bizarre universe. Just in time too, to join the Fourth Fleet in exploring the Shackleton Expanse. The Sovereign made a brief stop at the Framheim Station to receive their orders of where the Sovereign should begin their exploration. Once orders were received, Captain Maxwell and the senior staff had decided to venture around the expanse at high warp, to penetrate the expanse at a different location in order to reach their area of exploration quicker, rather than spend weeks or perhaps months at warp two to reach said location.

As soon as the Sovereign reached their area of exploration, they located a system that was recently designated as the K-8716-Gamma System with a planet of interest. The Sovereign began to run a full survey of the system when they came across the planet, which was designated as the K’Shar planet. What made this planet important was the fact that sensors had located what looked like several structures that indicated there was once a civilization on the planet. This has piqued their interest and so, the senior staff discussed and assembled an away party of two teams to go down to the planet and visit these ruins.

What the party is unaware, is that there may be several reasons as to why there is no longer a civilization on this world. They may even discover that the world was once lush and thriving with plant life, lakes and oceans. Their job…is to survive at all costs and to find out what happened to this world….
