A team of operators from Polaris Squadron arrive at Montana Station in search of answers about the fate of the USS Serenity and the USS Ingenuity. Linking up with old friends, they throw in with a troublesome lot as ripples of past events place them in the moral gray, one threatened by criminals enterprise and Starfleet Security alike.

Follows directly after S2E2. Alone in the Night (Interlude) and concurrently with S2E3. Subversion Unveiled (The Devil to Pay) and S2E4. Contagion Unleashed (The Devil to Pay).
