Hosts have been asked to keep the gaming sessions to about 1 hour each. A little overflow is certainly fine. The half-hour break between sessions is intentionally designed to allow hosts to submit their sessions on time while also giving everyone a stretch and beverage break.
It will still be a jam-packed event. We are excited to see everyone out for it!
Recording in Voice-Channels
This is being formalized not because anyone did anything wrong, but because we have seen some members provide a heads-up to others. It prompted internal discussions about privacy expectations. While there are certainly still questions about reasonable rights to privacy on an online voice-channel, we are moving forward with some formal expectations/etiquette within Bravo Fleet regarding this:
Any member who intends to record audio or video from a Bravo Fleet voice channel must post a clear written notice in the #gaming Discord channel before recording begins. That notice serves as disclosure to all participants for the duration of the session.
Members who join a voice channel after disclosure has been posted are responsible for reviewing posted notices in #gaming and may choose to remain or leave; remaining in the channel implies consent.
A member may not begin recording in an active voice channel without first providing disclosure and obtaining consent from those already present. If consent is not granted, the recording must not proceed in that channel.
Please ensure you are continuing to follow this moving forward.
