Operations Office Report #7 – Task Force 86 and 93 Staff Updates!

June 15, 2025

Dear Bravo Fleet,

Your Friendly Neighborhood Operations Officer is back with some updates, announcements, and most importantly, gratitude. First and foremost, a massive thank you to every one of you, as well as our incredible staff, for your role in making Fleet Action: Nightfall a tremendous success. From the storytelling and character development to the behind-the-scenes support and coordination, the event was a shining example of what our community can achieve together.

The staff truly went above and beyond—not just in their participation, but in helping others navigate the event, answering questions, and encouraging engagement. Events like these are not possible without dedicated volunteers. You are the heart and soul of this organization, and your efforts deserve nothing less than our full respect and appreciation. Thank you.

New Commanding Officer – Task Force 93

Let’s start with some exciting leadership news. I’m incredibly proud to announce that Fleet Captain Alexandria Mitchell (Mitchell) is stepping up as the new Commanding Officer of Task Force 93! Over the last 576 days, Mitchell has served in key TF staff roles—including as Task Group CO and, most significantly, Task Force Executive Officer. His experience, professionalism, and consistent dedication have made him an integral part of the fleet’s leadership. There’s no doubt in my mind that he’s the right person to carry Task Force 93 forward. I can’t wait to see how he makes the role his own and leads the Task Force into its next chapter.

Leadership Transition – Task Force 86

Now onto Task Force 86. After a brief but commendable tenure, Captain Theo Barrington (Heidi) is stepping down from her role as TF86CO. We are sincerely grateful for everything she’s contributed—not just the time she put into the position, but the heart, creativity, and stability she brought to it. Life outside the fleet always takes priority, and while it’s unfortunate to see her step back, we fully support her decision.

The good news? Heidi’s not disappearing completely—she’s agreed to continue brightening our Discord lounge with her perfectly-timed GIFs and signature sense of humor. We’re thankful she’s staying connected!

In the meantime, to maintain continuity and provide TF86 (aka the Crimson Trident) with strong leadership, I’ll be stepping in as its Commanding Officer. But I won’t be doing it alone.

I’m thrilled to announce that Jaya Thorne (Aaron Giesbrecht) has been appointed as Executive Officer of Task Force 86! After serving for five months as Task Group 192 Commander in Task Force 21, he’s shown initiative, reliability, and a real passion for what we do here. This promotion is well-earned, and I’m excited to partner with him to guide TF86 forward. I know how much energy and thought he brings to every task, and I am thrilled to see it up close!
