Greetings Bravo Fleet!
The Office of the Chief of Staff is the department with the most extensive reach across all the activities offered by Bravo Fleet. Regulating competitions, checking and processing the auto-generated activity ribbons, and reviewing merit award and promotion nominations are just some of the daily tasks undertaken by OCS staff.
For the past few months I’ve managed to keep the wheels of Bravo Fleet greased, with assistance from the BFCO and BFXO, but now is the time to expand our numbers. To that end, I’m looking to recruit a maximum of three Staff Assistants to help out with the day-to-day work to keep Bravo Fleet moving forward.
Working in OCS isn’t just about pressing the button to make ribbons, awards or promotions go live; it’s about checking to make sure the correct ribbon is being awarded, that the award being nominated is the appropriate one, that all the promotion criteria have been met, and that competitions have clearly defined parameters to be judged. The work of OCS isn’t huge projects with much fanfare, it’s a daily grind and involves taking at least a few minutes every day to thoroughly check any pending nominations before publishing them. The ideal candidates for these roles will be detail-oriented who can commit time most days, because the work of OCS is constant.
