Hello Bravo Fleet!
We are happy to announce new additions and updates to our command registry and the asset system.
Firstly, thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Logistics Office Survey. The twenty-five members who completed it offered valuable insight into their spending habits and thoughts on possible future spending projects. Both the Intelligence & Logistics Offices have been reviewing the data and have already begun to work on ideas to develop what we can offer our members. Many exciting projects are on the horizon, and we may ask for more insight from members on similar topics. So please watch this space!
New classes of ships!
So, without further delay, we are happy to share with everyone the addition of four new classes to Bravo Fleet canon! They are:
- The Achilles-class – it was made famous by the retro game Star Trek: Dominion Wars and most recently by Star Trek: Online as part of its Heritage Bundle.
- The Andromeda-class – one of the many Galaxy-class versions created by Star Trek Online, we are bringing the Andromeda in as Starfleet’s answer to ensure the Galaxy’s legacy remains in the 25th Century!
- The Dreadnought-class – made popular back in the final episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, All Good Things…, this class of ship has an interesting history with Bravo Fleet but is returning to protect the Federation’s borders and more!
- The Typhon-class – another one made famous from the PlayStation 1 console game Star Trek: Invasion, and again brought back to life by Star Trek: Online as part of their Heritage Bundle.
The Achilles, Dreadnought, and Typhon classes were added in response to the survey, in which some members expressed interest in seeing more 2370-era classes added. Also, as some of you know, the Typhon and Achilles were recently remastered in Star Trek: Online and are classic Activision fan-favourite designs, which also influenced our choices! Furthermore, many of you old-timers in Bravo Fleet will be aware that the Typhon and Dreadnought did exist but weren’t playable until now. So yay!
On the other hand, the Andromeda was added in response to most members’ requests to see more 25th-century ships.
These are just a snippet of what will come, but we are not giving away any more hints for now!
Thank you to the Intelligence Office team for working hard to develop these new classes. So many of you mentioned in the survey how much you appreciate the detail they put in, so we are sure you will be excited to read what these classes are like.
Price revisions and policy update
After analysing the survey responses and reviewing the various purchases made, we have updated the prices of some ship classes. Some have decreased, some have increased. By introducing new classes (and possibly more in the future), we wanted to balance the system further to make it as fair as possible. The Logistics Office Policy has been updated; click here to see the updates. You will notice we have added more price categories, too, which may entice some of you to consider buying classes you may not have considered before.
To ensure we keep the system as fair as possible, if one of your commands is one of the classes that has changed its price, the Logistics Office has already updated BFMS to guarantee that if you decide to exchange or refund that command at a later stage, you will get the refund of your original purchase. For example, if you paid for a command that was ¤30,000 and it is now ¤20,000, do not fear; you will get ¤15,000 returned to you. If there is an issue with your refund or exchange, please do not proceed. Let the Logistics Office know first.
In addition to the price revisions, we have updated the Logistic Office Policy to address potential scenarios that may arise when we add a new class to the command registry, especially if a ship is already named after that class. After discussing this possible issue, we updated the policy that gives members the following choices:
- A full refund on your current asset (so this means you will get a refund on the ship at its current price).
- Move to the new class (this means you can have the first of the class at no extra cost and keep the name).
- A free name change of their current asset (you can change the name of your ship to something else for free in consultation/agreement with the Intelligence Officer).
- The member keeps the current asset (this means you keep your command and nothing changes).
If you choose the fourth option, be aware that if the asset is ever returned to the registry, the Intelligence Officer will automatically change it to the new class that shares its namesake.
If this happens, the Logistics Officer will come to the member and share these four options with them.
With all of these changes and updates, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your Task Force Staff, who can approach the Logistics Office on your behalf to ask them for further clarity.
We hope everyone enjoys the latest assets!
