Intelligence Office Report #8: Ship Priorities Survey

February 13, 2026

Since the beginning of modern Bravo Fleet, members’ starships have been at the heart of their identity. They’re not just a vehicle for writing, shaping what stories you can tell and how you tell them. Ships are for everyone, whatever their preferred activity, forming part of a member’s journey. From measuring progression as you advance from a California class to a mightier vessel, to showing off your achievements with large, prestigious ships, to simply making your dossier yours with an assemblage of your preferred classes and names, ships matter.

With the new prestige system, you can purchase any ship you can afford. There are always different tastes, interests, and needs, and the Intelligence Office’s Tech Team constantly seeks to provide new offerings to suit any preference. Some of you may select ship classes based on storytelling. Some because you like the look of a class, or how it was shown off in canon. Some of you seek to build a well-rounded squadron, or you love the STO ship classes.

To shape our ongoing development of ship class offerings, the Intel Office is releasing the Ship Priorities Survey. We want to hear what drives your purchasing choices – and what you want to see more of. It’s quite a long and detailed survey, but that’s so we can really pinpoint what people care about, and how much you care about it. Please note that no question is required; answer as much or as little as you care to. Any level of feedback is useful.

This survey isn’t about the asset system in terms of how you spend your prestige or how much things cost; that’s a matter for the Logistics Office. Questions about expensive/cheaper ships exist on the presumption there will always be a range of offerings; newer and larger ships will usually be more expensive, while cheaper ships will usually be older/smaller. This is about how we develop and expand the offerings themselves; it will always take an investment of prestige, time, and effort to earn them.

We look forward to hearing from you all, and using this feedback to shape our ongoing offering of Star Trek ships.
