Today I write this as both a sad and happy announcement. Deckard, the Bravo Fleet Internet Officer, and I had a lengthy conversation about where things sit with his availability and Bravo Fleet. Unfortunately, he is finding that his time for hobbies is shrinking despite his desire to do things with us. The good news is that his time is shrinking because his personal business is booming, and requiring him to travel constantly to see clients and do work! However, given the current situation in Bravo Fleet and his available free time to do Bravo Fleet things, we’ve agreed that it’s best if he focuses on the thing that makes him all the money, as Bravo Fleet will always be here for him to return to full force when he’s ready. Deckard has agreed to stay on until such time a replacement can be found. I want to also thank him for all of his work these past few months getting Bravo Fleet to where it is from its near-collapse not too long ago. His participation and work have been excellent and priceless.
In the meantime, given the specific nature of the BFIO and wanting to give a larger pool of people a shot, Emily and I discussed and have decided to open up applications for his replacement. We’ve created a nice little Google form you can fill out and submit your application here: https://forms.gle/qYbpDfJ3idzHyLvC8
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask! Applications will be open for 10 days, closing on Friday, September 27th at midnight USEST. We hope to have a decision made by the end of that weekend, and rolling with votes from there. Anyone who applies may also get some supplemental questions as well!
