A Sad Goodbye & Gaming Office Applications!

Yesterday morning, Jay submitted his resignation as the Bravo Fleet Gaming Officer. The world is a confusing and upsetting place right now, and unfortunately Jay no longer has the time to help us build the new gaming system. Jay was a veteran of the Bravo Fleet Admiralty, serving continuously for well over a year in multiple positions. His assistance during the Great Transition of 2019 earned him a Star Cross and the sincere gratitude from every member of our community. We’re sad to see him go, but we understand that real life comes first. Best of luck, Jay! Thank you for your service!

Many of you have been asking questions about how to earn achievements under our new gaming system. Rest assured we’re working hard to flesh out every detail of the new system. We recently finished Bravo Fleet’s Gaming Policy, which outlines how the office will recognize member achievements in games like Star Trek Online.

With Jay gone, we’re looking for someone to help us manage our fleet’s gaming activities. Right now we’re searching for applicants for the Gaming Office at various levels. If a strong enough applicant applies we will gladly consider them for Gaming Officer, but if you feel you might be a good fit but lack some knowledge, we are also willing to make the right applicant the Gaming Officer Command Adjutant and train them into the Gaming Officer position.

The main focus will be Star Trek Online, but we are planning to support other games in the future. You don’t necessarily have to be an active gamer, but you should have a strong sense of what gamers want and you should be able to administrate gaming in Bravo Fleet (including live streams, gaming events, and more).
