[WATB Phase 2]: Stellar Cartography

Description

Starfleet is attempting to pull together all of its resources to depict a much more complete map of the galaxy, but especially the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. With a more complete picture, the threat assessment of the Borg as well as impacts of Borg technology across the galaxy can be better determined. Using your ships stellar cartography lab, put together an entry to provide to Starfleet Command.

This competition is to create an entry for the Bravo Fleet Map. Submissions may be an incomplete entry already on the map or a brand new one. Entries can include planets, star systems, starbases, or outposts.

Short Description: The Talvath Cluster is a region of space in the Beta Quadrant, located at the spinward edge Federation space and the area of space dominated by the remnants of the Romulan Star Empire. As of 2401 it remains largely unexplored by both polities as neither have a suitable base from which to deploy exploratory missions. Given its proximity to the unexplored frontiers of the Beta and Delta Quadrants and recent renewed activity from The Artifact and Soong Type androids at Coppelius, Starfleet has begun deploying more assets into the region.

Short Description: One of the most beautiful planets in the quadrant, Deneva is home to a Human settlement since the mid 22nd century. Since then, it has withstood flying parasite epidemics, Klingon occupation, ambassadorial assassinations, to grow into a prosperous planet; it is also known for its production of Denevan crystals.

Position on the map: at your discretion. There is no clear info on the position in canon (only relative to other unknown planets and stars). It should however be close to Earth, being an early colony.

Short Description: Freecloud is located in the Alpha Dorabus System. It is home to a diverse population along with quite a few urban area, this includes their largest city of Stardust City. When approaching Freecloud you are subjected to many personalized holographic advertisements that can only be dismissed when you interact with the holograms. Freecloud is known for its many different kinds of business due to its minimal restrictions on their personal liberties.

Short Description:
The Beta Serpentis System is a relatively unknown and rarely visited binary star system that hosts a small Andorian colony on its only marginally-habitable world, the class P glacial planet of Beta Serpentis III. The system is also home to Salvage Facility 21-J, a classified research station hidden deep within the troposphere of Beta Serpentis IV, a class I gas giant. Although now decommissioned and administered by an automated system, Salvage Facility 21-J is where Starfleet dissected and analyzed the debris of the Borg cube from Wolf 359. In the last 2380s, Beta Serpentis III threatened to leave the Federation on account of the synth ban, and in 2401, it was discovered that the colony had become entangled with Borg technology from Salvage Facility 21-J.
