Sample Study (Helldivers 2)

Description

Calling all Starfleet officers!  We have faced quite the share of peril in the wake of the Vaadwaur assault on the Alpha and Beta quadrants of the universe!  Those who serve must most certainly rise to meet the occasion when it comes to defending the rights of the galaxy against malcontents who seek to subjugate and gain a foothold over the innocent.  But as we answer the clarion call to defend the free rights of the galaxy and embrace the ideals on which this Federation was founded upon, we must never forget that Starfleet is also an organization that promotes exploration and scientific discovery!

Therefore, we have coordinated with the Chief of Tactical and Chief of Security aboard every posting to implement a training module that incorporates all of these ideals rolled into one mission.  You will defend liberty and justice while simultaneously furthering science!  Please report to the holodeck at your earliest convenience and pull up the program titled Helldivers 2.  While a finished mission and a solid attempt will not disqualify you, the focus on this exercise will embrace the aspect of scientific discovery of Starfleet.  So be sure to pack your tricorders on this mission, because the winners will be determined by a score of how many samples you collected by the end of the mission.  Each level of sample collected will be worth more points, so while any difficulty is allowed it is highly encouraged that you push your limits to the highest difficulty you can handle in order to increase the pool of available samples a mission can get you.  We are only counting the results of one mission, so make sure to use your best results!  In the interest of leveling the field across all levels of players who may or may not have had the chance to obtain the modifier of samples gathered per mission, sample boosters are not allowed to be equipped during this mission.  The points for scoring on this competition will be as follows, with each sample worth the following points;

Common Samples (Green): 1 point
Rare Samples (Orange): 3 points
Super Samples (Purple): 5 points

Criteria

  • You will be required to submit TWO screenshots for each submission; 1 shot showing your mission loadout to prove no sample boosters were used, and a final shot of your mission results showing a completed mission that also shows the amount of each sample type collected. So be sure you snap that 2nd shot in the right moment when it shows the Squad Payout!
  • Please summarize for me in the text box how many of each color of sample you collected.
  • As stated, no boosters are allowed that would increase the amount of samples obtained for each mission. This helps level the playing field between players who might not have played long enough to obtain said boosters yet.
  • In the spirit of encouraging fellowship among gamers, and hopefully generating some ribbons between you all, submissions with more than one player will be allowed. Just be sure to mention which name is yours in the submitted screenshots.
  • Since multiple players are allowed in the screenshots of each submission (although each submission only counts for yourself), it is entirely possible that some of you might be submitting a screenshot from the same match. There is also a slim possibility that even if you were part of a different match, you might still somehow score the same result as someone submitting from a different match. Therefore, ties will be broken by the date and time the BMFS records the submission. The early bird gets the worm, even if that difference in time is by mere seconds or milliseconds!
