T'Pree Surojin

10 - 12 - 2376

T’Pree is the sole daughter of the Surojin family, their long-lived efforts culminating in the individual that comes to bear today, both good and bad. As is common with all Vulcans she is an adherent of Surak, therefore she harbors the belief that through logic and understanding all can be overcome. Through her exposure to the Federation, it’s culture and myriad of member worlds she has come to an honest conclusion that perhaps there is something as too much suppression; sometimes much to the chagrin of her own fellow Vulcan peers.

T’Pree stands at a Vulcan female standard of 5’6″, weighing in at 140lbs with striking brown eyes. In an effort to ingratiate herself better with others on first contact she tends to hide her trademark ears by wearing her hair down and long. A lean build hides a strikingly sinewy body composition with the only marking of former injury being a scar that crosses down and across her back.

Despite an understandingly sheltered upbringing on Vulcan, T’Pree has a profound and almost unhealthy obsession with learning more about the cultures that had been for so long seperated from her own; be they Human, Romulan, Klingon, Andorian, Bajorian, Betazoid, Deltan, so on and so forth. Her logic clashes with cultural norms which means that seldom her innocuous conversations are veiled questions, her inquiries straight to the point. Starfleet was the culture shock she needed and she’s since developed a reputation for an oddly calm tenacity when it comes to wanting to understand.

Born on Vulcan in 2376, T’Pree is sole heir apparent of the Surojin family, a respected line of scholars and intellects that boast supposed ancestral connections to the earliest days of Vulcan society. As was tradition she was destined like all youths her age to enroll into the Vulcan Science Academy, learning a myriad of subjects such as Vulcan philosophy, arts, physics and stellar cartography. The innate urge to know more didn’t come until she encountered the first Starfleet interspecies exchange program candidates. Their behaviors, appearences, and untethered emotional leashes clashed with her logic that though frustrated her fellows, only served to make her want to understand rather then stay away.

Her parents insisted that this sudden fancy would go away in time, that the Science Academy provided much more than Starfleet ever could. T’Pree thought differently and in 2395 went the way of those aliens that had come onto her world to learn, so would she go to the one place that offered her more than anything she could ever gain from remaining on her homeworld. Knowledge.
