David Adler

Early History | (2379 – 2397)

David Adler was born on the 18th of October, 2379 in Jacksonville on the North American continent of Earth. His entire family are Starfleet officers well aside from the infant. His mother is a Four-pip Admiral, and her father is a three-pip Vice Admiral. He spent a significant amount of time on planets as opposed to on a ship. Although he always heard a calling to the stars. Upon reaching the age of sixteen he made the decision to follow his parents and older siblings and join Starfleet.

Starfleet Career | (2397 – Present)

Starfleet Academy | (2397 – 2401)

Adler was accepted into Starfleet Academy on his third attempt. During his time at the academy, Adler excelled at his command, tactical, and diplomatic studies but he would fall short in his scientific studies. Upon graduating in January of 2401, he would be made valedictorian of his class. Immediately following his graduation he would visit his mother, father, and younger sibling who had been aboard Starbase 415. Adler watched in horror as the events of Frontier Day 2401 unfolded before the screen in front of him. Luckily he was unaffected by the Borg transmission but had friends from the academy who weren’t as lucky with three of them dying during the incident.

USS Columbia | (2401 – Present)

Upon returning from Starbase 415 he would be assigned to the Galaxy-class starship, USS Columbia. To be on a Galaxy-class ship at the start of his career was something of a personal achievement for Adler. He worked across the entire command division and had an upper bunk in the Lower Decks hallway.

Physical Description

Athletic, handsome, and brilliant Ensign Adler is quite tall, coming in at 5’10” (177 cm). He has an athletic build only weighing 165 lbs (74 kg). Adler has dark brown hair that he usually keeps cut short. He also has dark brown eyes.

While on duty, Adler is found wearing the standard Starfleet uniform, while off duty, he is usually dressed in more casual or relaxed clothing, usually a regular t-shirt and sweatpants.

Adler is a highly talented leader and someone who any Starfleet captain can depend upon to come up with a solution to almost any problem he comes across. His out-of-the-box, sometimes unorthodox methods compliments his problem-solving skills; his innovative solutions have both inspired and disgusted his fellow Starfleet officers.

Ambition

Like most officers Adler wants to be in command of his own ship. Since joining the Academy he has wanted to become the commanding officer of his own ship or station. His long-term goal is to become the leader of his own fleet or task force.
