Elyssia Rel

Ensign Elyssia Rel is a Flight Control Officer and member of the Hazard Team aboard the USS Polaris, just returned from time on Trill following her emergency joining with the Rel symbiont.

Elyssia finds both strength and struggles in the experiences of Rel, a symbiont that went through a rough journey with its last two hosts. Its most recent host, Asteria Rel, was a Fenris Ranger discovered on the verge of death by the USS Allegiance, a patrol ship where Elyssia was serving on her first assignment. Given the state in which they found Rel, and the fact Elyssia was the only unjoined Trill on board, she underwent an emergency joining to save the Rel symbiont. The Rel symbionts prior joining was similarly rushed, prompted when Jaxon Rel succumbed to his injuries after the Second Battle of Chin’toka.
