Terani Vlex

Terani is a quiet person, with a lot of spunk. While she doesn’t necessarily dominate any conversation, when she does speaks it’s purposeful. As a Betazed, she is often more interested in the emotions and feelings that people give than the words that come out of their mouths, as she knows that many times those words can be deceitful.

While she is quiet and reserved, she is also a bit of a wild child. Terani’s love for piloting came from speeder racing in the canyons near her home on Betazed. Her family did everything they could to stop her, but she kept sneaking past them and joining the races. Finally, they gave in and let her race. She learned how to use her empathic powers to best her opponents and became one of the most successful racers in her region. There was talk that she may have made it to a professional level if Starfleet hadn’t caught her eye.

She’s usually dressed in dark, unassuming colors, preferring to stay out of the limelight. Unlike some of her other Betazed relatives and friends, she prefers to remain relatively modest by human standards both in demeanor and dress, though she is not ashamed nor shy about her body or sexuality should the topic arise.

Terani is gentle and kind, always with a sweet word when needed. She is quiet, choosing to listen more than speak, but when she speaks, she speaks with wisdom beyond her years. Starfleet tried so very hard to pull her into the Counselor’s track, but Terani was too dead set on piloting. With new people, she is almost aloof, trying to figure them out and find out what makes them tick, but with her friends she is much warmer and approachable.
