Freshly transferred from Starbase Bravo, Sam is keen to get to work on the Olympic and prove herself.

From a conservative family, her hair is up, and her posture is near perfect.
Personality
Sam is the opposite of her conservative family in all but image. She’s disregarded much of her culture in favor of her ideals. Sam is a driven and focused officer who wants to succeed to spite her parents, who had her entire life planned for her.
History
Early Life (2378-2396)
Sam fought constantly with her parents throughout her upbringing. She ran away four times between the ages of 10 and 16. She graduated from an alternative high school and immediately emancipated from her parents. She had applied for Starfleet Academy early in her junior year, disrupting her parent’s goals for her life as a local nurse who would marry a well-known young doctor in their community. She changes her legal name and adopts a Western naming nomenclature as a final step in separating from her parents. She leaves and has not spoken to them since.
Starfleet Academy (2396-2400)
Focuses on the Counseling track and finds success. Through counseling, she begins to accept her separation from her parents. It is difficult, and she is still unsure if she made the right decision as she is assigned to the USS Mercy as a counselor. She serves on the Mercy until November 2400, when the entire crew is reassigned. She is moved to Starbase Bravo, where she works until 5.25.23 when her application to the USS Olympic is accepted.
Starfleet Career (5.25.2401-present)
As a counselor, she was assigned to the USS Olympic (5.25.2401-7.15.2401). She was then assigned to the USS Daedalus on 7.15.2401.
