Summary

History
Starfleet Academy Year 1 – General Studies (2396 – 2397)
Fresh from her successful academy application and completion of her entrance exams, Emma had arrived on Mellstoxx III ready to immerse herself in her studies, make a few friends and make her mark on the universe. Emma had her sights set on becoming a pilot for a large starship. The Bridge Officer track with a major in Stellar Cartography was right up her alley and she was quick to make this known when completing her induction paperwork. Her first year on Mellstoxx III was dominated entirely by General Studies going over bridge functions, security and tactical scenarios, basic engineering training, a crash course in scientific research and first aid, and finally, the jewel Emma had her eye on, ship navigation.
Starfleet Academy Year 2 – Basic Starship Operations (2397 – 2398
Emma’s second year at the academy was made up of building up a skillset of generalised ship functions. This would enable a bridge officer to stand in for any department whether it be assisting with a medical emergency, monitoring communications, tactical operations and a variety of other stations they may come across on their career journey.
Starfleet Academy Year 3 – Advanced Starship Operations (2398 – 2399)
Junior year at Starfleet Academy was spent reviewing their lessons and assignments from the previous years and using that knowledge base to build on as they delved into the more advanced operations on board a starship. This included Manual Flight Operations, Manual Weapon Targeting, Starship shutdowns, Warp Theory, Environmental Controls, Command training and even a diplomatic short course thrown in.
Starfleet Academy Year 4 – Stellar Cartography (2399 – 2400)
In her final year with the academy, Emma devoted her entire final year to immersing herself in Stellar Cartography and Astrometric Operations. All her life she had wanted to be a pilot, favouring the larger starship classes over shuttles and fighters and seeing what the galaxy had to offer her. She took to her studies almost effortlessly. Emma did find her final year to be more intense than even her first year, but came away better for it. Emma had always enjoyed mathematics growing up and she would often manually calculate a route and check the results against the computer to keep her skills sharp
USS Corax (2400 – 2401)
Blood Dilithium Campaign
In 2400, fresh out of Starfleet Academy on Mellstoxx III, Emma found herself assigned to the USS Corax on a mission to the Delta Quadrant. What was meant to be a simple supply run to an annexed colony world, turned into a fight for the ship and their lives. Despite her best planning, the crew came under the influence of an entity known as the Telepathic Pitcher Plant resulting in shipwide hallucinations and out of character behaviour. While under the creatures influence, Emma successfully pulled off a modified version of the Picard Maneuver and successfully landed the ship despite the immense strain this put on the hull.
Disappointed to find these events never happened, the details of the event were stored in the ships logs, impressing her tutors at the Academy who believe some of the theories she postulated may have real world applications. Accepting a permanent transfer to the Corax, Emma began the next chapter in her career, excited to see more of the galaxy and help out where she could.
