Summary
Commander Timothy (Tim) Coleman is currently serving as Commanding Officer of the Steamrunner-class starship U.S.S. Steamrunner NCC 52000. Commander Coleman is not the typical high-profile, high-achieving, high octane Starfleet Officer, and especially not that of a ship commander. Coleman has had several brushes with the regulations, Admiralty and Federation Law, so many that he is often used as the benchmark of what an officer should not be like to fresh cadets at Starfleet Academy.
Appearance
Tim is 1.95 meters tall, just short of his hoped full 2 meter stature. He is of average build, average height and looks all together average. He is not dashing, does not have a strong chin or an amazing year-round tan. He is normal. He is the type of guy that could easily melt into a crowd, or even just a few people, and become remarkably indistinguishable from the rest. He has brown hair that is salting, a goatee, with the beard section having turned white, and a small, soft mole on his right cheek that is, for all that it is worth, a beauty mark.
Personality
Coleman’s personality is such that he will buck the officers, especially flag officers, above him, and challenges them to try and find a way to remove him from command, and from Starfleet. So far, they have not been successful. With his crew, he is laid back and relaxed, often using first names of those serving with him, and allowing them to use his first name when not on duty or not within earshot of the junior officers or enlisted aboard his ship. To anyone else, he is fiercely protective of those that serve under him, often to the detriment of a mission, a diplomatic exchange, or just in mutual company.
