Summary
Lieutenant (J.G.) Deni Valaja, M.D., Sc.D., is chief surgeon and life sciences officer of the Phoenix. A recent graduate of the Starfleet Academy College of Medicine, this is the Risian native’s first assignment. As is characteristic of most people of Risa, Valaja is warm and inviting to almost everyone she meets, though she considers the juvenile advances of helmsman Jarvis to be pedestrian in comparison to Risan men.
