Emyo Troh

Early Life

Emyo Troh was born on Stardate 237601.07 at Jalanda City Hospital on Bajor to Taabo and Biba Troh – a dressmaker and cafe owner respectively. He was to be the oldest of five children. From an early age, he would be sent for holidays to his maternal grandfather’s cabins in the Dahkur Hills. Many years later, Emyo would describe the cabin as “the most perfect place in the universe”. As a young boy, he wanted to follow in his beloved father’s footsteps and own a café. He also assisted his mother with her dressmaking business although he did not particularly care for it, finding it extremely difficult to get to grips with manual and automated sewing (his mother absolutely hated replicated clothing).

Following a school expedition to Vulcan as a 13-year-old, Emyo became extremely fascinated by Vulcan culture which persists to this day. As he grew older, he wanted to move to Vulcan to study at the Vulcan Science Academy although he was refused a place when he was 16. A few months later, he attended a seminar at his secondary school given by Starfleet recruiters and found himself drawn to the idea of serving in the organisation. After some initial concern from his parents, they allowed him to enrol and he was assigned to the Beta Aquilae II satellite campus where he studied for a Criminology Major after showing an aptitude for law and forensic subjects at school.
