Appearance
Petite, rather elfin in her looks, Carrie has flaming red hair, emerald-green eyes, freckles and an infectious smile. Comes in at 160 cm tall and roughly 55 kilos.
Personality
Enthusiastic and inventive, she tends to keep commanding officers on their toes. Has the ability to think outside the box when it comes to any particular situation.
Fun-loving and spunky, she doesn’t seem to be the sort who would command a starship, but when it comes down to brass tacks, she’s serious and by-the-book.
History
Born on Proxima Centauri IV, Caroline (known as Carrie to her friends) excelled in her studies and graduated at the top of her class from Cochrane High School, after which she immigrated to Earth to attend Starfleet Academy, where she took up an interest in psychology, hopefully to become a Counselor.
Carrie’s parents, being scientists, originally disapproved of her joining Starfleet. Her father, an anthropologist, encouraged her to become an exolinguist and study the cultures and behaviors of different worlds. This led her to study exolinguistics at Starfleet Academy before deciding to undergo a career change and go into psychology so that she could understand the different mindsets of the people she was studying.
During her time at Starfleet Academy, she wrote a paper detailing how certain images bring about emotional responses in humans, and how, theoretically, it would also do so to other species, winning an award in the process. She graduated third in her class from Starfleet Academy, Class of 2398.
Her first posting was as a counselor-in-training aboard the USS Thunderchild, where she was trained in multiple psychiatric techniques not covered at Starfleet Academy, some of which are seldom used in practical psychology.
Her first posting having ended, she was reassigned to Bravo Fleet at the request of her commanding officer who sent along a glowing letter of recommendation.
She then joined the crew of the USS Repulse, where her talents were put to full use as their ship’s counselor during their voyage.
Her tour aboard the Repulse finishing, she was reassigned to Starbase 86’s medical team.
Upon arrival at Starbase 86, Carrie was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and assigned as Chief Counselor for Task Force 86, overseeing the mental health of the Fleet at large.
To aid in this quest, she has the gift her former commander aboard the Repulse gave her, the Federation starship Oklahoma. This resource will allow Carrie to go where she’s needed, no matter where the assignment may take her. It is her devout hope that she will be able to make a difference in the Fleet, despite her inexperience at this point.
Seeing as it was necessary to have more resources at her disposal, she was assigned as commander of the Raven-class starship Kison. With a faster ship now at her disposal, she can care for the fleet’s mental health needs without the long wait times.
