Personal history

Will is an only child that was born in Northern Ireland on Earth in the year 2371. His father was a local doctor who wanted nothing more than for his son to follow in his footsteps. Will often helped out at his father’s small office all the way up through school and had indeed decided to go to medical school and than return home to work with his father. His dad was very excited about this. Will left home after graduating high school and began his 8 years of medical school at the young age of 17.

Two years into his education, Will attended a seminar being given by several Starfleet officers. He was quickly in awe about Starfleet, especially the Security Division, and even though he knew it would hurt his father, he decided to enter Starfleet instead of returning home.

He spent roughly an hour with officers afterwards and he was so impressed that he signed up that day. When he informed his father that he wanted to attend Starfleet Academy, Will could hear the disappointment in his voice but he wished his son all the best. Three days later, Will left Medical School, took the entrance exam and passed with no trouble. Two days after that, he was headed to San Francisco.
