Summary
Polus is a seasoned Starfleet captain with over five decades of service and a veteran of the Dominion War. For the last decade or so, he has commanded California class starships, preferring these as vessels to pass on his own experience to more junior crews, something he much enjoys after the still-raw 2370s.
