Marian Dupree

Marian Dupree has a long and storied career spanning nearly fourty years in Starfleet. She has served in leadership positions ranging from deputy head of communications, chief operations officer, executive officer of a fast cruiser, and chief diplomatic officer aboard a task force flagship. Most recently, she held the office of Task Force Diplomatic Liaison onboard Starbase 93, where she was the primary diplomatic contact between TF-93 and fourth fleet headquarters diplomacy department.

As far as anyone was concerned, she was on her way to becoming a commodore with a desk job at headquarters, where she was expected to serve out the tail of her career. However, during her orientation at Starbase Bravo where she met with leadership and toured the facilities, something changed. Without warning or a hint as to why, she declined her promotion and instead requested the first available ship command the fleet could offer.

On such short notice, the best they could offer was a California-class utility cruiser currently docked at the station as a midshipman cruise training vessel. The ship was the USS Vallejo. Small, unspectacular, and at the complete opposite end of a senior-posting. Marian accepted the command without hesitation, and got to work trying to scrape a crew together. Her only real options given the timeframe were fresh academy graduates and mid-level officers looking to pad their service record.

Now in route to Colludia II with nothing but a skeleton crew, she will arrive at the tail-end of shoreleave. Along the way, she hopes to find more volunteers for her mission. However, what that mission is remains to be seen. It is unsure if even she knows.

She is by the book and no nonsense. She is driven by work, and poured everything she has into her long career. Her personality could be described by some as “Vulcan-adjacent”. She is not mean or callus tho, and cares deeply about the people around her – she just expresses her concerns and congratulations in a more muted manner. The first to rise, last to bed type,  Marian is most herself when she is completing a task or working on a project.
