Summary
Captain Lyrena Phor is the commanding officer of the USS Atreus, a Shenzhou-class survey vessel assigned to the Io Squadron. A career science officer with extensive experience in planetary surveys and exploratory missions, she has built a reputation as a thoughtful, dependable, and level-headed leader.
Known for her calm demeanor and genuine curiosity, Phor encourages her crew to approach the unknown with patience and an open mind. She believes that careful observation is often more valuable than quick conclusions and that successful exploration depends as much on understanding as it does on discovery. While many captains naturally focus on what a new world can offer the Federation, Phor believes Starfleet’s first responsibility is to understand it on its own terms.
Her guiding principle is simple:
“Before we ask what a world can become, we should first understand what it already is.”
